Popular Indian rapper and musician Badshah recently found himself amidst controversy after the release of his song “Issa Vibe” from the film “Bloody Daddy.” While the song was gaining popularity, Badshah faced backlash over some controversial lyrics related to the globally renowned K-pop boy band BTS. Fans of BTS, known as the BTS ARMY, took offense to the lyrics and vehemently expressed their anger towards the rapper.

In response to the criticism, Badshah took to Instagram to address and clarify the situation. BTS, formed in 2010, is a South Korean boy band consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The specific lyrics in question were “BTS Biba,” where “Biba” was used to refer to Punjabi women. However, some BTS ARMY members misinterpreted the lyrics and believed that Badshah intended to belittle the K-pop band.

In his Instagram post, Badshah sought to clarify the misunderstanding and expressed his respect for BTS as artists. He emphasized that the use of “BTS” in the song was meant to pay homage to Punjabi women and was not intended as a derogatory reference towards the K-pop band. He clarified that he had no intention of disrespecting BTS or its fans and offered his apologies for any offense caused.

The rapper’s response aimed to bridge the gap between the misunderstanding and to promote a message of unity and appreciation for different genres and cultures. He acknowledged the passionate dedication of BTS ARMY and expressed his gratitude for their support throughout his career. Badshah concluded his post by reiterating his respect for BTS and expressed his hopes for a peaceful resolution to the controversy.
